21-year-old man sentenced to death for murdering granny
"The prosecution had made out a prima facie case beyond reasonable doubt against the accused," judge Datuk Mohd Azman Husin said when delivering his judgment against Ridzuan Taib.
Ridzuan was found guilty of murdering Basah Ahmad at her home in Taman Berlian, Jitra, near here, between 9am and 3.15pm on May 11, 2008.
Basah was 75, and Ridzuan was then 18, and had just completed a stint at a National Service camp.
He broke down in tears when Azman delivered his judgment.
