Fighting the Afghan Taliban in their birthplace
Hundreds of pro-government figures have been killed there in the last 10 years.
In the district of Dand, however, one governor has been able to keep the peace, while rebuilding people's lives. Hamdullah Nazek has survived 12 assassination attempts, and says he has no intention of quitting.
